OK Team - the MIGHTY 2 character LN range with the popular letter O. Often used for it's resemblance to number 0, when combined with a number in the mighty LN range, it stands out for a few reasons.
Firstly, there are only 10 plates in this range, as VicRoads did not release the letter O counterpart in the NL range as it would resemble 2 digit heritage rounded numbers, which are big bucks in this state (i.e. Vic 20 => $2.5M), but those that are lucky enough to hold one in this format reap the rewards. All 10 combinations are tightly held, and each time one sells, pricing climbs between 50-100%, even in the space of 1-2 years. Our data can confirm this.
Secondly, the number 05 belongs to the late Peter Brock, which is an Aussie legend and icon in the world of supercar racing, and in particular the Holden VK SS V8 that he tore up the track with.
Thirdly, there are only 520 plates in the LN/NL range, and this sits among the best of them, so rarity is on our side here, and as we know, rarity and exclusivity is the main driver of value in number plates. Vic V8 sold for $270K recently and NSW N6 sold for $255K in April 2024, which point to where this mighty range is heading all over the country. Let's not forget to mention P7 in Dubai which is the most expensive number plate in the world, valued at a mighty $22.5M - yes, you read that correctly.
