How It Works

2. Search for Signature Plates

Browse our wide variety of Signature Plates online to find the desired combination you’re after. We provide you with all the filters you’ll need on the listings page to help find the right plate!

3. Shortlist your Signature Plates

We provide Value and Rarity Assessments on every Signature Plate before we list them. This helps our buyers understand all the details of the plate before making their purchase.

4. Determine your Purchase Price

Using our Value Assessment and publicly available Market and Sales data, you can determine your desired purchase price and either Make an Offer, Buy Now or Submit a Bid.

5. Pay your Deposit

Choose from Bank Transfer, PayID or Credit/Debit Card payments using our platform when you pay a deposit to confirm your order.

6. Settle your Balance

Once a deposit has been paid, you will be provided the seller’s details for you to arrange a timely settlement of your preference, including time and location.

7. Congratulations!

Once Settled, the Seller will transfer right of ownership of the Signature Plates over to you. Congrats! You are the new owner of the Signature Plates.

2. List Your Signature Plates

Submit a listing request with the details of the Signature Plate you would like to sell, with the requested information that helps us assess your Signature Plate.

3. Valuation Assessment

Upon submitting a listing request, we will review your listing and provide you a valuation assessment and a recommendation on listing price and we will assess the listing in line with market and sales data.

4. Decide on Pricing

Once you receive our recommendation, we can then agree on the price and term.

5. Select the term

Once the price and term has been agreed on, we can proceed to list your Signature Plate.

6. Review Offers

If the buyer submits an offer, you will have the chance to review that offer and decide at the time whether you would like to accept it or not. In the event you have selected a reserve price, and the offer exceeds the reserve price, you will automatically accept the offer.

7. Counter Offer

If you have received an offer and it does not meet your reserve price, you will have the opportunity to make a counter offer for the buyer to accept or reject.

8. Accept Offer

If you accept an offer from a buyer, or a buyer decides to “buy it now”, then the sale will be on hold until the buyer submits a deposit.

9. Organise Settlement

Once a deposit has been paid by the buyer, you will be provided the seller’s details for you to arrange a timely settlement of your preference, including time and location.

Further Information For The Sale Process

Once a plate has been purchased, or the auction has concluded, the winning bidder or purchaser will be required to pay a 6% deposit via the payment methods outlined in a confirmation email or in your account.

Upon payment confirmation, the buyer and seller’s details will be released to both parties.

Settlement will be arranged and executed at the agreement and discretion of the buyer and seller. Signature Plates Australia may help facilitate settlement upon request, but is not expected or responsible for the settlement and transfer of ownership of the Signature Plate.

We encourage arranging and executing settlement at a state or territory body, such as VicRoads or Service NSW, however the method of transaction is at the discretion of the buyer and seller.

Internet and Mobile Banking transfers, such as OSKO payments are recommended for safe, secure and instant transfer of funds. Physical cash transactions must be exercised in caution due to the lack of tracing and security.

Once settlement has occurred, the owner is expected to update the listing to “Settled” or you can let us know via email, phone, Instagram or Facebook so that we can mark it as sold.
